Michelle Tyler

Michelle Tyler was born in Oklahoma. At age 10, she was sent by her mother to live with her great-grandmother in the mountains of St. Lucia; her art is largely influenced by her early life there.  After her great-grandmother's death, she moved back to America to work for a family in Florida who travelled extensively.  It was not an easy life and still a teenager, Michelle, encouraged by a professional photographer, decided to moved to New York City.  There she became a successful model and her life was enriched by an array of creative, artistic, and often famous people.

In the 1980s, Michelle made the pivotal decision to move to Los Angeles and focus on her art. Together with maintaining a family and drawing upon her experiences and imagination, she has now amassed an extraordinary collection of oil and acrylic art, as well as sculptures and mosaics.  

Michelle Tyler continues to  live and  work in Los Angeles.
